Igor Peteh was born in Zagreb, where, in 1979, he graduated the Academy of Music, University of Zagreb in piano studies. Since 1980 he taught the piano at the School of Music “Blagoje Bersa” in Zagreb and at the Teachers' Academy of the University of Zagreb. In 1988, he started to sing with chamber vocal ensembles and choirs. In 2006 he was named conductor of the Renaissance Ensemble “Vatroslav Lisinski” in Zagreb. The “Vatroslav Lisinski” choir with Igor Peteh as conductor was the winner of the Distinction Award for the category of mixed choirs at the 2nd International Warsaw Choir Festival in 2006. He is a founder of the “Theatrum Musicum” and “Otium” vocal ensembles.
