Saša Nestorović graduated from the Academy of Music in his native city of Zagreb. Even during his studies, he won a number of awards - the “Darko Lukić”, “Milka Trnina”, and “Judita” awards, to name but a few. He has been a member of the Zagreb Saxophone Quartet since 1989, and has performed with it in both, Europe and the USA. After his first appearance with the famous Acezantez ensemble of contemporary music in 1999, he has stayed on as its member ever since. As jazz musician, he received the 1997, 1998 and 1999 recognition for best tenor and soprano saxophone, conferred by the Croatian Musical Association. He represented Croatia in Montreal in 1999, where he played with the Big Band of the European Broadcasting Union. He is also a member of several Croatian jazz groups (Big Band of the Croatian National Television HRT, Zagreb Jazz Portrait, Cool Date and more).
